Dennis Allen - Senior Vice President of Sales
Dennis Allen, Senior Vice President of Sales, has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing and management. Before joining SPOT, Mr. Allen was senior vice president of sales for Globalstar USA where he was responsible for the company's sales in the United States,
Caribbean and International marketplace as well as overseeing the management and development of Globalstars agent distribution network for these markets. Prior to joining Globalstar, he co-founded a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in Florida in 1998 where he served
as executive vice president of sales and marketing. He also served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for Xspedius Communications, a Thermo Capital Company. He has managed his own office machines/products/telecom services dealerships in several states and began
his career as an account executive with IBM Corporation.He spends as much time as possible bass angling and golfing.
Bob Bennett - Vice President of Development
Bob Bennett, Vice President of Development, has over 40 years experience in the space and satellite communications industry. Before joining SPOT, Mr. Bennett was mission director for Globalstar where he headed the team that launched and operated the Globalstar LEO
constellation. Prior to joining Globalstar, he was involved in both launch operations and ongoing service operations for additional companies in the commercial satellite business, including RCA, Intelsat and GTE Spacenet. During his tenure with GTE Spacenet, Mr. Bennett lead a
team that developed and implemented the first satellite news gathering network in cooperation with the major television networks. He started his career as a contractor for NASA working on the Gemini and Apollo space programs.
Mr. Bennett, a retired member of the National Ski Patrol, is an avid skier and golfer who spends most of his off time in the outdoors with his family.
Jake Rembert - Vice President of Sales
Jake Rembert, Vice President of Sales, has over seven years experience in the satellite and land-line communications industries. Before joining SPOT, Mr. Rembert was distribution manager for Globalstar USA where he created the Gulf Coast distribution channel for Globalstar
satellite phones and managed the top 10 percent of its sales base as reseller for the national accounts manager. Previously, he was national account manager for Xspedius RVP, a Thermo Capital Company (later Time Warner Communications).Mr. Rembert
holds a BA in Marketing from Louisiana State University. He is a hunting and fishing enthusiast who has been trained in hurricane disaster response.
Darren Bassel- Director of Retail Marketing
Darren Bassel, Director of Retail Marketing, has over 14 years experience in new product branding, sales and marketing. Before joining SPOT, Mr. Bassel was vice president of sales and marketing for Shopatron Inc., where he established aggressive growth initiatives in four new
industries. Prior to Shopatron Inc., he was brand marketing director for the Pure Fishing Corporation and spent over ten years at Kimberly Clark in various capacities including associate brand marketing director and business development director. A Certified Public Accountant,
he began his career with Ernst & Young where he rose to senior accountant.
Mr. Bassel holds a MBA in Marketing from the University of Minnesota and BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.An avid golfer and outdoorsman with favorite activities being fishing and mountain biking, Mr. Bassel
recently served as a board member of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
John Dark - Senior Marketing Manager
John Dark, Senior Marketing Manager, has over ten years of experience in the telecommunications industry with a focus in satellite and cellular technologies. Before joining SPOT, Mr. Dark served as senior manager of sales and marketing for Globalstar USA where he was
responsible for sales operations, marketing and public relations during a period of unparalleled company growth. Previously, he was an independent marketing consultant and senior manager of sales and marketing at Vodafone following 12 years in retail sales management with
companies including IKEA and Habitat.
Mr. Dark holds a BA in Art History and Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.He is an avid trail runner, and spends time each year enjoying the outdoors by leading day hikes with friends and family in
the Carson Pass area of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
